Melissa Gong Mitchell brings more than 20 years of public affairs, advocacy, and strategic communications experience to her role as Senior Managing Director at High Lantern Group. She helps clients create and deliver powerful messaging, build influential networks, and execute thought leadership strategies at global, federal, state and community levels. Melissa specializes in building and leading cross-sector and cross-discipline coalitions to advance public policy, business innovations, and key stakeholder perceptions related to transformative issues in public health and population aging. She has proudly served as Executive Director of the Global Coalition on Aging, the world’s leading business voice on aging, since its founding in 2011.
Prior to joining HLG, Melissa spent nearly a decade as a government relations professional for the US travel and tourism industry. Melissa holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a BA in Journalism and Psychology from the University of Mississippi.
